The K 2019 opens its doors from 16 to 23 October in Dusseldorf with the guiding principle "Plastics shape the future"; a total of about 3,000 international exhibitors will be represented. The main topics of this year's trade show are innovative materials and processes for the efficient use of resources as well as networked production under the catchphrase Plastics Industry 4.0. As a long-standing partner of the plastics industry, Beckhoff will present its PC and EtherCAT-based control technology at the K. The focus will thereby be placed on innovative products and solutions, such as the integration of machine learning, image processing and speech into the TwinCAT control platform, as well as various tools for the realisation of cloud-supported production concepts. Through the integration of OPC UA and the industry standard Euromap 77 that is based on it, Beckhoff provides users with a secure solution for the exchange of data between injection moulding machines and cloud-based services. With tools for IoT and Data Analytics, the machine manufacturer or end customer can identify and correct mechanical problems or software errors on the basis of the recorded machine data and thus avoid machine downtimes.
